The Map to the left details the fighting at McPherson's Ridge on the morning of July 1st, 1863 from 10:00AM
to Noon.
The second map on the left details the fighting west and north of the town later in the day of July 1st,
1863, from 2 PM to 5 PM. It was at this point that the Union battle line north of town began to buckle under the pressure
of arriving Confederate troops from the northeast.
